How to get to conference venue

Swissotel Tallinn is situated within walking distance of the Old Town. When staying in other centrally located hotels, the venue is in a reasonable walking distance.

Due to construction works and tram service suspension, we recommend to check exact routes and timetables from the Tallinn Transportation website.

From the Tallinn Airport/Port of Tallinn to the venue:
  • 10 minutes by taxi
  • From Port of Tallinn, Terminal A 20 minutes by bus number 2, stop Tornimäe
  • From Tallinn Airport 15 minutes by bus number 2, stop Tornimäe

    Travel information

Participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements. It takes only up to 10 minutes to get from the Tallinn Airport to the centrally located hotel by taxi, and vice versa. However, during certain hours (between 8-10 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. on business days) it would be advisable to plan for longer travel times in case of traffic jams. Taxis are available 24/7 at taxi stops located in front of airport building and the hotel. The estimated fare for the 10 minute taxi ride would be around 7-8 Euros. You are entitled to request the receipt from the driver. Expenses, such as hotel and travel costs, will not be reimbursed by the conference organisers.

Participants can order a taxi by phone (Tallink taxi, Forus taxi) or apps (Bolt, Uber). For public transport routes and schedules, please refer to: Routes and scedules in Tallinn. The fares and other information on Tallinn public transport tickets is available at Public transport in Tallinn.

    Internet
There are over 300 free wireless Internet zones around the city, including OldTown squares, concert halls, pubs and restaurants.

    Currency
National currency is Euro. Larger hotels, stores and restaurants accept Visa, MasterCard, Eurocard, Diner’s Club and American Express. However, it is advisable to carry some cash with you. Traveler’s cheques can be exchanged in most banks, but are less likely to be accepted in shops. There are plenty of banks in Tallinn that can be easily found. Most of them are opened from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, while some offices are also opened on Saturday mornings. All banks offer currency exchange services. Exchange points can also be found in larger hotels, airport, harbor, railroad station and major shopping centers.

The current is 220 volts AC, 50 Hz, European-style 2-pin plugs are in use.
