Welcome to the Baltic Sea Science Congress 2027!
We are pleased to welcome you to the Baltic Sea Science Congress 2027 in Tallinn, Estonia.
BSSC 2027 will bring together researchers, students, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the Baltic Sea region and beyond to share the latest scientific findings, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration toward a sustainable future for the Baltic Sea.
The congress will highlight current research on the physics, biogeochemistry, ecosystems, and geology of the Baltic Sea, as well as new methods and digital solutions supporting marine science, management, and decision-making.
We look forward to welcoming the Baltic Sea science community to Tallinn in May 2027.
Important participation information
Please note that BSSC 2027 is planned as an in-person event.
The Baltic Sea Science Congress is committed to open scientific exchange and to the participation of scientists and students regardless of nationality. However, Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine represents a grave violation of international law and has led to national and institutional restrictions across EU countries.
In accordance with these restrictions, and in solidarity with Ukraine, individuals affiliated with Russian or Belarusian state institutions are currently excluded from participation in BSSC 2027.
