Presentation
Synopsis: This session will deal with the post-natal imaging of congenital lung malformations including congenital pulmonary airway malformation, congenital lobar hyperaeration, scimitar syndrome and the different types of sequestration. There will be an emphasis on chest x-ray interpretation, but MRI, CT and ultrasound roles will also be included. Some controversies about the association of congenital lung abnormalities with pleuropulmonary blastoma will be addressed. The imaging of congenital diaphragmatic hernias and of diaphragmatic eventration in infants, though not congenital lung abnormalities, will also be included.
