Challenges in brain tumour post-treatment imaging

Biography: Jurate Dementaviciene graduated from Vilnius university in 1983. 1983-1985 fellowship in radiology, Vilnius university Advanced training faculty for doctors. 2003 PhD scientific theses “CT angiography (CTA) of the intracranial arteries in the assessment of cerebrovascular disease”. Assoc. Prof. at Vilnius university. From 2005 lecturer for students, resident supervisor and lecturer for advanced training courses for doctors. Member of Lithuanian radiologists‘ association, Europeahort CVn society of Radiology, European society of Neuroradiology, International society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, Radiology Society of North America. Presenter at national and international scientific meetings.

Synopsis: Brain tumour diagnosis is a challenge for clinical specialists, radiologists and patients. Follow up is necessary in the course of treatment and imaging plays crucial role in it. Main purpose is to differentiate postsurgical changes, postradiation necrosis and signs of pseudoprogression. In this presentation we will show recommendations for follow up protocol, main sequences and signs for differential diagnosis. Also we will share our experience and will present some examples.
