Synopsis: The number of patients with multiple trauma is rapidly rising in North Estonia Medical Centre. Multiple trauma mechanisms includes most typically severe injuries in the multiple body parts or organ systems so the primary survey should be performed immediately after the patient arrives in the emergency department. Modern image diagnostic methods are very helpful to diagnose critical, life-threatening injuries rapidly and begin treatment at the time of diagnosis, however a number of challenges are also considered. The alert system inside the hospital must work on time, the different specialties who are involved with the trauma care should work as a team and depending on trauma mechanism the right radiological examination need to be performed. To get a best results from multiple trauma care the procedure needs a major preparation from the radiographer/radiologic technician and great cooperation between radiographer and other trauma team members. To get the best results to a patient with multiple trauma the Medical Centre should develop a multiple trauma team. We can only get positive results if all the members of the trauma team are collaborating and the multiple trauma alert mechanism works properly inside the hospital. Trauma team needs to cooperate and all the preparation must be done before the patient with multiple trauma arrives into the hospital. To get the right diagnose for the patient the trauma team must perform the correct radiological examinations.
