PSMA ligand imaging challenges in recurrent prostate cancer

Laura Saule (Latvia)
Resident doctor in radiology, scientific assistant, Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, Riga Stradins University (RSU) Radiology Research Laboratory
Biography: As a scientific assistant of Radiology Research Laboratory, I take part in scientific studies in the topics of nuclear medicine, radiology of oncology etc. In the lecture "PSMA ligand imaging challenges of recurrent prostate cancer" the topic is about recurrent prostate cancer PET/CT diagnostics with two radiopharmaceuticals - 68Ga-PSMA-11 and 18F-PSMA-1007. In Latvia prostate cancer is the leader in oncology for men in terms of incidence. Early diagnostics of recurrent prostate cancer are a cornerstone for further adequate therapy planning, therefore PSMA ligand PET/CT is a great diagnostic tool and a challenge at the same time.
