Black Box

Synopsis: In this lecture the possibilities of nuclear molecular imaging in the detection of hot plaque will be discussed. It is a promising noninvasive method to predict cardiac events. Different radiopharmaceuticals used in oncology at the moment will be analyzed to see their mechanism of action and potential in high risk plaque detection. Patient case will be shown with a recent oncology patient with hot plaque with correlation with invasive methods. Possible cardiotoxicity markers in PET will be represented.

This agenda item is presented in the following session: S3-1 Cardiovascular Imaging
