Professor of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Director of Institute of Cardiology and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Latvia
Biography: He is also Chief of Latvian Centre of Cardiology at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital. He is currently the President of Latvian Society of Cardiology and the Vice-President of Latvian Academy of Sciences. His major fields of scientific interest are interventional cardiology, regenerative medicine and epidemiology of cardiovascular disease.
